Meet Dr. Michael James

As an Endodontist, my profession offers me the humble opportunity to make a difference in patients’ lives by saving their teeth and relieving them of pain. Through endodontic treatment, patients are able to keep their teeth, allowing them to continue enjoying the foods they like, to speak with confidence, and to feel secure.

I am honored that the work I do makes such a direct impact in my community and I feel privileged that I do it with a caring and wonderful staff.

Dr. James and his staff are dedicated to clinical excellence and exceptional customer service, providing a compassionate and caring experience for each patient. Their practice, Assured Endodontics, offers convenient hours, accepts a majority of insurances, and provides oral and IV sedation options.

Your root canal, retreatment, endodontic surgery, or emergency treatment will be comfortable, efficient, and worry-free.

Education and Professional Affiliations

Dr. James has practiced endodontics for almost ten years.

Following dental school, Dr. James completed his specialized training at the University of Tennessee. There he received his Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) and Endodontic Certificate. He also holds a Master of Public Health (MPH).

Providing patients optimal clinical treatment and personal care is core to Dr. James’ commitment to his specialty and those he serves. Through ongoing professional education, he keeps abreast of the latest changes in endodontic technology, research, and techniques, incorporating proven advancements into patient care.

• Shelby County Dental Society
• Memphis Dental Society

These professional organizations offer meetings, lectures, seminars, and peer-reviewed publications, addressing the newest developments in endodontics and general dentistry.

Beyond the Office

A native of Mount Vernon, New York, Dr. James now resides in Memphis. His spouse, Kesha A. James, MD, practices Family Medicine, daughter Jayden is a first year student at Spelman College, and son Ryan is a student at White Station Middle School. RJ, a miniature poodle, and Duke, a Giant Schnauzer, round out the home.

Time with family and loved ones is Dr. James’ priority when he’s not saving teeth. He also enjoys reading and jogging, church activities, and volunteering with Missions of Mercy.
